Simulate and visualise industrial processes with WinMOD

WinMOD is a software platform which AuTeBa GmbH uses to simulate and visualise industrial processes. It’s the ideal solution for virtual modelling, simulation and optimisation of various processes and systems.

At AuTeBa we follow a tried-and-trusted method for simulating processes with WinMOD, which we continuously develop and optimise using our decades of experience:

Modelling the process system

We use the WinMOD graphic user interface to model the individual components in your process system, such as sensors, actuators, control systems and other equipment.

Connecting the components

Connecting the modelled components allows us to simulate and define the logic and the data flow within a system. For example, you can implement control algorithms and set up and coordinate communication between the components to suit your exact needs.

Configuring component parameters

Assigning relevant parameters to the components in a system, such as actuation times, flow rates and temperatures, means these parameters can subsequently be used for the simulation.

Testing various scenarios

The WinMOD software allows virtual process sequences to be tracked in real-time in order to test different scenarios. For example, we can simulate faults or investigate the effects of changes to the parameters.

Evaluating the simulation results

At AuTeBa we follow a tried-and-trusted method for simulating processes with WinMOD, which we continuously develop and optimise using our decades of experience.

Finally, we evaluate the results of the simulation to gain knowledge about operation of the process system. WinMOD offers a wide range of evaluation methods, including graphic displays of process variables and logging of results.

These process steps, shown here in much simpler form, allow us to put a system through its paces before commissioning – which saves valuable time in the project.
